Lion Air Makes Emergency Landing in Sultan Hasanuddin Airport

A Lion Air aircraft serving the Jakarta-Kendari route made an emergency landing at Sultan Hasanuddin airport in Makassar on Saturday evening after a crack on the glass of its cockpit`s left window.

“The Lion Air plane, flight no 728, serving the Jakarta-Kendari route was diverted to Makassar and made an emergency landing because of the crack on the glass of its cockpit window,” Lion Air deputy manager for Makassar, M Aliwes, said here on Saturday night.

He said that the airplane was initially scheduled to arrive at Kendari`s Mongonsidi airport, South East Sulawesi, at 5 pm local time but its destination was changed to Makassar because of the window glass crack.

The plane which took off from Halim Perdana Kusuma airport in Jakarta had 132 passengers on board
