On 31 December 2008, Sultan Hasanuddin Airport or known as the Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport (SHIA) do Exercise and Prevention Terrorists attack.

Exercise and Prevention Terrorists attack aims to improve the relations of cooperation in one organization in order to command the security interference in the region that can be possible not only the interests of but also prevention and response activities radical / terrorist actions that may cause the disintegration of the nation.

In the exercise was attended by various institutions, namely:

• Administrator Airport (ADBANDARA)
• Police
• PT (Persero) Angkasa Pura I
• Airlines
